Talbot Residence
Black and Milk was invited to enhance the interiors of a unique semidetached Edwardian home in Highgate. Despite the family's efforts to improve their home after the pandemic, they found the space lacked warmth. Retaining the structural integrity, Black and Milk integrated innovative ideas to give the home a cosy and luxury feel. The project aimed to infuse the family's personality throughout. Two rarely-used reception rooms prompted the creation of 'his' and 'hers' lounges, each with distinct identities, and in the lounge area, they created a cinema room draped in Tartan fabric which pays homage to the family's Scottish heritage.

In the kitchen, the clients opted for the Rely counter stools by &tradition, and behind these, looking out into the garden, there’s a very unique combination; the Tacchini Costela armchair upholstered in Dedar’s Tiger Mountain fabric, paired with the Arflex Marenco sofa and the showstopper piece for this home – the Cassina Esosoft coffee table.
Opposite this arrangement, in the cinema room, the clients chose the Strips sofa by Arflex which is upholstered in Ultrasuede by Chase Urwin, bringing warmth and comfort to the room.
Other items included stools & side table by Vitra, the Pium wall light by Pinch, the Boomerang chair by &tradition, the Lady Armchair by Cassina, and a selection from Audo Copenhagen.
