Residential Project, London
The work of Chris Dyson Architects not only involved the restoration and exposure of beautiful brickwork on the original rear façade, but to create a clear connection between the two areas, combining natural light and space. Their key aim was to transform the property, reinstating elements lost to history, while creating a comfortable and sustainable home to meet 21st century family needs.

When Chris Dyson Architects approached us to work on this project, the Grade II* Listed Building was being used as an office space. CDA introduced us to the clients, and we worked collectively to turn the space into a beautiful family home. We were hands-on from the very beginning, attending site visits, working through mood boards to refine the FF&E specification, and finalising everything by visiting showrooms together with the clients. We consulted on the selection of furniture, upholstery, stair runners, all the way through to paint colours!
This was the perfect project to work on as it follows the ethos of Coexistence both in the furniture and the architecture. It’s the way the old and new coexist together that brings this home to life, and it was a pleasure to work on an opportunity like this.
The project was highly commended for the British Home Awards 2022.
